The diversity of our members is the foundation of success.
Dream it.
It all begins with an idea. In 2015 we started communicating about a reunion. SgtMaj Cline started the Hall of Fame to recognize all past and future achievements. Additionally, it was an opportunity to bring Marine Corps Boxing back into a positive light. The underlying thought process was bringing boxing back since the disbandment in 2013.
Build it.
2016 was the 2nd reunion. It was also the Inaugural Hall of Fame. The original board members were Retired SgtMaj Michael Cline, Retired CWO4 Bill Joseph, Retired SgtMaj Charles Jackson, Marine Corps Boxer Johnnie Cortez Edwards and Marine Corps Boxer Kim Sheffield. It was an arduous event to create, plan and build. The foundation was set, but involvement of former Marine Corps Boxers would bring the Hall of Fame to life.
Grow it.
We’ve come a long way since 2015 and are only getting better. As of 2021 we are a Non Profit 5013c. Giving back to the Marine Corps community that helped form our members and expanding our footprint across all 50 states. The future is bright, we look forward to establishing a educational scholarship for young boxers. Our members come from varied backgrounds and contribute their time, expertise and knowledge to help our organization grow.
